We had our home listed for over 2 weeks on our own without an agent.  We had a few calls. A few even came to see it.  People that were just shopping around, people who had not even been to the bank yet, appointment no-shows, and phone calls into the night.  It was extremely frustrating to say the least.  We could not understand people not rushing to buy our home as we had heard about the booming Winnipeg real estate market. We wondered what we had missed.

Within a couple of days, professional interior and exterior pictures were taken, the sign was up, and an MLS ad was written making our home seem like anyone's dream home.

Within 2 days after that, we had over 15 showings, 4 firm offers, and ended up selling for over $15,000 more than we were asking!
